WACHSENDE BOOTE

Das Projekt LIVING BOAT hat eine lange Vorgeschichte durch Studien und Arbeitsaufenthalte in S-Korea seit 2000. Einladungen zu int. Kunstprojekten, Beteiligung an der Nature Art Biennale 2004, Artist in Residence 2009, Ausstellungen 2006/9, Feier 30 Jahre Künstlergruppe YATOO, Gong-ju 2011, Workshops 2011/12 und Teilnahme an der Geumgang Nature Art Biennale 2012.

Der kanadische Kunstkritiker John K. Grande, Poet, Autor und Kenner der int. Nature Art Szene hat die Entstehung beobachtet und über dieses Projekt Beiträge verfasst, die in koreanischen und amerikanischen Medien erschienen sind.
„Alois Leopold Lindenbauer’s boat forms work with the Biotope theme by proposing a metaphorical journey. The boat sculptures Lindenbauer has made with living elements are part of nature’s life process. Ephemeral and yet changing these boats are made of earth and life, literally a Biotope and a part of life. Through Lindenbauer’s environmental living installation one can come closer to be with nature. Lindenbauer’s approach is synergetic and as with a „perpetual motion“ a lasting energy and dynamism exists in the virtually unnoticeable slow time growth of the piece. Titled Danke Danke! these are boats embarked on a metaphorical journey. The boats, one living and the other consisting of cut tree trunk sections likewise suggest we are not alone wherever we live in the world. We’re actually all in the same boat, the life ship earth, source of biotopes. As the weather and seasons change and the ship grows, it becomes a forum of children, and adults alike to witness what happens. Water and sunlight is what sustains these woven living willow trees arranged to resemble a boat. The growth is upwards, in all directions, in time and space. The two boats Alois Lindenbauer has made at Waldkunst are of the Earth. The message is we must sustain the life source – Biotope – to ensure our children’s future.“

In winzigen Gefäßen. Ist Zirkulation zwischen Ozeanen und Kapillaren.
Jedes neue Blatt wird vitales Zeichen unserer größten und wertvollsten Natur- Ressource.
Humus und Erde füllen den Schiffsrumpf, als kostbare Ladung, Landschaft und Welt.
Als experimentelle Werkstätte wirken die Boote frei und fernab tradierter Kunstorte.
Sie „treiben“, wachsen und bewegen sich durch Wasser, Witterung und Jahreszeiten.
Lassen uns staunen.
